Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first roles on television included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. Her parents did not allow her to perform with her parents till the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the anxiety it could create. Perry was shy during high school and was not a performer. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness brought Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were available. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015, she appeared with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. Her father played her on the ABC show Scandal. In the same year, she played a young version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a younger version. The actress was chosen for the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
