Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight A grades in all her A-levels. When Coleman was asked regarding her Emmerdale part, she said it was regrettable that she didn't to have had a traditional college experience. Coleman was a part of a theatre company, In Yer Space while studying at the university. They performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The performance received praise, and the play received high praise. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. This happened in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two Awards. At the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, during the National Television Awards she was selected as the most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, she received nominations for two different categories: Best Actress and Sexiest Female. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor when Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat chose her for the role because she was the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been involved in the film industry since 1987. There is no doubt that she has made a bigger impact on projects for TV than films. Eva's appearances in the TV show Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. This particular show earned Eva two nominations for an 'Emmy for Daytime.' She also got to express her creative side via music. Apart from being an actor Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneurial. Eva is married to three men and has a child from the second.
